Virtual Brain

The Virtual Brain The Virtual Brain will deliver the first real, usable and open simulation of the human brain.  A clinician will be able to upload patient scans and view a robust three-dimensional simulation of the patient's brain.  The Virtual Brain will produce virtual EEG, MEG and BOLD signals that are comparable to the same scanner readings of a real brain.

For researchers, surgeons, neuroscientists and therapists, the Virtual Brain promises improved patient outcomes by letting clinicians simulate cognitive interventions – right from a Web browser. By providing clinicians with this technology through a standard Web interface, the Virtual Brain will provide a high-powered tool for planning and testing patient care, improving clinical decision-making and thus outcomes.
