In this interactive session Dr. Grossman will offer her reflections of her experience as a physician working on an interdisciplinary team, where many staff and family members offer differing perceptions of how much suffering a particular patient is experiencing. Particular themes to be highlighted include transparency of values, use of palliative sedation, and how to manage diversity of values and beliefs.
