Title: The hippocampal system as the cortical resource manager: a model connecting psychology, anatomy and physiology

Attendees will be able to: 1) understand the different information processes performed by different anatomical structures; 2) understand how the performance of cognitive tasks utilizes combinations of information processes performed by different anatomical structures; 3) understand how the hippocampus selects the cortical receptive fields that will be changed in response to each sensory experience, and how the information collected as a result of this selection process is also used for episodic (but not semantic) memory retrieval.
