Objectives:

1. To understand some of the shortcomings of the research on interventions for those who attempt suicide
2. To briefly review efficacy of interventions for deliberate self-harm
3. To become familiar with a psychosocial/psychoeducational group intervention for people with recurrent suicide attempts
4. To consider whether the implementation of this specific intervention would be useful at Baycrest
