Learning Objectives:
- To discuss new data regarding treatment of acute ischemic stroke patients with unwitnessed symptom onset – and the implications on thrombolysis in the extended time window
- To review dose calculation of tPA based on the patient’s weight and the methods currently employed for determining the patient’s weight in the acute setting
- To make the case for a rigorous province-wide approach to evaluating these two-important factors influencing patient outcomes
