Educational Objectives:

1. Understand and appreciate the clinical epidemiological evidence of an association between major depressive disorder and Alzheimer’s disease.
2. Explore possible pathophysiological mechanisms underlying this association.
3. Indicate how [11C]SB-13 beta-amyloid positron emission tomography (PET) may contribute to study one of these mechanisms.
